90cm/3ft powerful light module that dims dynamically to warm candle light. Advised to direct light to plants for indirect lighting and an optimal living environment.

Introducing linear
Linear is an ultra modular and robust lighting system that can be setup according to your needs. Connect linear light modules without visible wires or seams.

Linear comes with our LifeSpectrum™ technology, meaning it is the first light recipe to be optimised both for humans as for nature inside the home. We advise to direct it towards plants so it can work as an efficient grow light during the day as it has a PAR (Photosynthetic Active Radiation) efficiency of 92%.

Too blue or warm light can lead to depression or bad sleep and activity cycles and this is why LifeSpectrum™ has a dynamic spectrum that can dim to warm cosy light temperatures in the evening or morning.

Besides an outstanding built quality made from the finest materials such as recycled natural anodised aluminum for long lasting protection and fine mirror polished stainless steel accessories with laser engravings, there was no compromise on the inside either:
find the highest CRI (Color Rendering Index) of 97+ inside, representing colors just like in real sunlight. Dot-less dimming capabilities providing the most gentle light experience no matter from what direction.

linear currently comes with a free smart switch that connects with the Tuya smart home ecosystem and lets you set light schedules easily. Don’t have your phone around? Easily dim as desired with a double tap on the switch itself.

Cooling - the most important design aspect of a (grow) light.
The outer profile design is the result of a study on how to maximise cooling while also making the profile feel as cool as possible when touching. LED chips have a lifetime that is relative to how well they are cooled during operation. Grow lights are even more powerful than normal lights around the home, so cooling is even more important for these high performing modules.

A LED chip is a package of a diode that is covered by a colored phosphor layer that emits the right wavelength (read color) of light. If the diode would get too hot, small bubbles of air start to appear in the phosphor layer. Because of these bubbles, the light starts to reflect inwards making the diode even hotter. An irreversible process that destructs the LED’s performance and changes the wavelength/color of the light. Cheap light modules in the market cut costs in the amount of aluminum used but this can result in bad performance and changing wavelengths, even after only 6 months.
This is the reason we only use Metal Core PCB’s (Printed Circuit Boards) in combination with pure aluminum and metal connections for the best heat transfer possible.

While LED’s can withstand higher temperatures (easily 80°C), humans can withstand holding objects of 35-40°C (even if 60°C would not burn or hurt us). We designed our housing in such a way that there are least points of contact with the skin possible on one hand, yet on the other hand that the points that we have contact with, have the coolest temperature possible. This resulted in a ribbed design where the fine, coolest, ribs get to have contact with the skin.

Modularity and a timeless durable design
In order to create a light module that would not end up on a trash pile anytime soon, a design should be created that grows with the user’s needs. A plant can grow taller, so the light module should be able to do so too. The owner moves to a different place, the setup should be able to adapt.

Qualitative materials are materials that withstand time. A reason why we do not use any paint nor glue in mother products. While we study to eliminate as much toxic processes in the creations of our products, the result is a pure timeless design that can endure.

Form also plays a factor in durablity. We did not only design our ribbed profile for cooling purpose but also for endurance. The design makes it almost impossible to damage or scratch the profile as the ribs make sure that 90% of the surface can’t be touched on impact, only the ribs would.

Safety first
We would be able to sell our light modules at much lower prices if we wouldn’t care for safety. Many low priced alternatives in the market are operated at high voltage as they do not use an adaptor to convert high voltages. Power adapters and converters are very expensive, cutting them out of the design would result in a cheaper appearing product that could one day become a very costly one.

24VDC (Direct Current) is a safe to touch voltage. It allows for a plug and play concept using standard power jacks that makes it easy for everyone to learn about and to play with electricity, even in harsh conditions.
